Born in Istanbul in 1988, MRE graduated from the Sculpture Department of Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts in 2015. Throughout his undergraduate years and thereafter, he produced works in various disciplines such as sculpture, ceramics, digital art, and decoration. He also found a place for himself in the streets both in Turkey and abroad with anonymous stickers and paste-up experiments. Towards the end of 2018, the “side-toothed” characters became a part of his life, and using the name MRE, he began expressing himself on different surfaces and with various techniques.MRE describes himself as an artist who tries to be active on the street by constantly changing the colors and characters of his stories and retelling them around Lowbrow and Pop-Art styles.
