Sinem Ören (b.1995, Istanbul) received her undergraduate degree in Ceramic Arts from Maryland Institute College of Art which she got her acceptance with a merit scholarship. In 2021, she started her master’s degree in Ceramics and Glass Design at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University.

The artist is interested in the experience of being a human in her work. Her ceramic works, in which she describes organic formations, deal with issues such as birth, existence and death through identification with the universe and being one with it. One of the most basic symbolic relationships of human history and existence myths, which is the analogy between clay and the human body, is the main reason why the artist prefers the ceramic medium as a means of expression. The “Echoes of Metamorphosis” series which she prepared for Mamut Limited describes three stages of individual awakening with a total of three works. In which each large vase form represents the universe, the individual’s journey through awareness, introversion and integration with the existence are narrated.
